U.S. House Passes Comprehensive Bankruptcy Bill

A 302-126 vote by the House sent the legislation to President Bush, who said he was eager to sign the measure, the biggest rewrite of the bankruptcy code in a quarter-century.

After eight years of strenuous efforts by congressional backers, banks and credit card companies, the legislation was catapulted toward enactment starting earlier this year. The legislation, which garnered some Democratic votes, cleared the Senate last month on a 74-25 vote.

The measure would require people with incomes above a certain level to pay credit-card charges, medical bills and other obligations under a court-ordered bankruptcy plan.

    May not be the exact infomation on avoid bankruptcy ...but am glad to have dropped by. Your post on U.S. House Passes Comprehensive Bankruptcy Bill makes an intersting read.

    While it may not be exactly related to file bankruptcy, it was nevertheless a pleasure to have visited your blog. That's the beauty of the internet.. u just dont know what you will find at the next corner.

    Great read on "U.S. House Passes Comprehensive Bankruptcy Bill". Hope you dont mind me dropping a few comments although I was actually looking for bankruptcy lawyer info on the net.
    Am glad I didnt immediately click away...you do have some good stuff and I enjoyed reading them. You know ...I need your kind of inspiration to write all those blogs...and maybe one day I would find some.
