SCO Announces Budget Reduction

Chief Justice Thomas J. Moyer of the Supreme Court of Ohio announced yesterday that he is voluntarily reducing the Court's budget request for fiscal years 2006 and 2007 by more than $8.3 million.

Moyer said the savings come from continued cuts of redundant and seldom-used materials in the Supreme Court Library, savings in administrative costs in the Ohio Courts of Appeals and lower than projected costs for operating and maintaining the Ohio Judicial Center. The Court moved into the Ohio Judicial Center in February 2004.
