AG Petro Warns Attorneys Not to Overlook "Do Not Call" Lists
Ohio Attorney General Jim Petro issued a statement reminding the legal community that they are not exempt from the requirements of Federal and State Do Not Call laws. Attorneys contacting individuals by telephone in an attempt to solicit new clients need to insure that the consumers are not on the National Do Not Call list.
Petro went on to state that his office had received complaints about traffic accident victims being solicited by lawyers in violation of state and federal Do Not Call laws, and that they were taking all complaints seriously.
